SolarWinds® Dameware® Remote Everywhere (DRE) is a remote management software and administration tool designed to enable you to provide fast remote support assistance to multiple operating systems, including machines running Windows operating systems. Using DRE, you can establish encrypted and safe connections to Windows workstations and servers—typically in eight seconds or less. DRE also provides you with the tools to chat with the end-user, share files, take screenshots of the remote machine, and lock the remote system for complete control.
DRE also enables you to access Mac systems remotely from workstations and mobile devices to see exactly what’s on the end user’s screen during a remote session. You can quickly share screens, transfer files, and enhance your quality of remote support through the built-in chat messenger, which allows you to communicate directly with the end users and keep them updated during troubleshooting sessions. You can also capture and print screenshots of the remote Mac device computer right from the DRE console.
Not all remote management tools are compatible with Linux machines. However, DRE allows you to remotely access and control Linux computers and servers across your network, including those running distributions Debian 5 and later, CentOS 5 and 6, multiple Ubuntu versions, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and later, and Fedora 15 and 16.
You can also change visualization options in-session, easily create and configure end user accounts, and more easily troubleshoot persistent issues using the greater visibility and access DRE is built to provide.
