At Unimission, we don’t just deliver IT solutions; we take on our clients’ missions as our own, supporting them with clarity, care, and measurable results. We thrive on teaming up with innovative and forward-thinking organizations to solve complex IT problems. Let’s look at how three particular partnerships are helping us bring value to the industry and the planet.

Getting to the Heart of Systems With SolarWinds

When we deliver SolarWinds® solutions to our clients, we empower them to make informed decisions and reclaim control over their IT environments. From the moment Unimission first partnered with SolarWinds in 2022, we fell in love with the variety of functionality and information their solutions can handle. The partnership has helped us dramatically increase our business—we’ve acquired new clients, had opportunities to work on fascinating projects, and gained insight into the workings of large company networks. When you work with observability tools from SolarWinds, you're at the core and heart of the system, and their capabilities have proven their worth to our clients time and again.

  • Replacing legacy systems: One client needed to transition away from a legacy monitoring platform they had developed in-house. The head of their network operations center was retiring and wanted to find a suitable replacement to meet his successor's needs. They aimed to adopt an industry-standard solution that was more accessible for their team. After comparing several options, SolarWinds emerged as the only platform that fulfilled all their requirements. We collaborated on its implementation, and the team was delighted with the outcome. This transformation demonstrates what Unimission is all about—we step in, take responsibility, and create lasting impact where it's needed most.
  • Network discovery and IT management: Another client had zero network visibility into their infrastructure. They had lost their IT partner and had been left with no documentation and little understanding of their environment. After assessing, we used SolarWinds Observability to discover the entire network. We showed them which assets they were using and where the issues lay. From there, we built an action plan, and now we’re helping manage their whole IT infrastructure. This is what we mean when we say we take on your mission as our own.

There are plenty of other dilemmas that we would like to unravel with the help of partners like SolarWinds. For example, we have a client in the pharmaceutical industry with a very specific OT environment. It's hard to help them solve issues without touching the production system, which is not an option. Digital transformation throws up challenges like this all the time, which is why we love to build relationships, host events, and even plan technical roundtables where customers can share real-life examples of how difficulties can be resolved. These conversations reflect our broader vision of shared growth, personal support, and ongoing collaboration.

Offsetting Carbon Emissions With Dimarjan

Sustainability is core to Unimission’s approach—not just in words, but in action. That’s why we work with our sustainability partner, Dimarjan. To offset the carbon emissions generated by IT systems, Dimarjan plants trees on 2000 hectares of land in Angola. This is a novel process that requires input from both sides.

1. First, we measure carbon emissions generated by IT services by using a dedicated, preconfigured appliance designed for easy deployment. Based on the manufacturer's specifications, each server is allotted a defined carbon footprint over its operational lifetime (e.g., about 7,000 kg of CO2 for a 2-year server).

2. Dimarjan plants trees for every IT solution that Unimission offers. Instead of relying on future promises to plant trees for carbon offsetting, our model utilizes “carbon debits” based on existing trees already in the ground sequestering carbon. This approach works to eliminate the uncertainty of traditional carbon credit systems.

3. To ensure total transparency, each tree is monitored via satellite and represented on the blockchain, where its carbon sequestration is recorded in real time.

Unimission prioritizes recycling and even uses refurbished phones as our corporate devices. Our partnership with Dimarjan reflects our values and our way of thinking. Although it may seem costly to some organizations, sustainability models like ours will become increasingly essential in the years ahead.

Conscious Innovation at the AI for Good Conference

Attending the AI for Good conference with SolarWinds in July is an exciting step for Unimission. In particular, we’re looking forward to showcasing the practical applications of artificial intelligence in the context of monitoring and observability. SolarWinds has already demonstrated how machine learning and intelligent data correlation can be used to make predictions around system performance, and this has evolved even further with the integration of SolarWinds Service Desk and SolarWinds Observability SaaS. Our partnerships with SolarWinds, Dimarjan, and initiatives like AI for Good aren’t just about developing advanced technology—they’re about using existing tools in a thoughtful manner, reflecting Unimission’s deeper purpose: to support smarter decisions, reduce complexity, and create IT ecosystems that grow with your business. Unimission will continue building relationships that don’t just fuel technological innovation but also have a positive impact on society.
