Growing up I had an affinity for wanting to break things apart to see what would make them work, which eventually led into trying to figure out how systems would work and how I could bypass them or try and get them to do things they were not supposed to do.
Post that, years later, I ended up going into the video game field as that was where (or so I thought) my passion was. After years of working in that cutthroat industry I finally was offered a job doing service desk support at a company. From there, I was recruited by the security team and that is when I knew I had truly found my calling.
Now, with 11 years of experience, I have seen quite a few different industries and worked with a plethora of different security tools and different people along the way. I have seen anything from advanced attacks attempting to penetrate an organization, to in-fighting preventing proper security measures being put in place, to laughable misconfigurations on devices. I find security to be fascinating and if you aren’t challenging yourself along the way you aren’t doing it right.
