Dillon Townsel leads Corporate Communications for SolarWinds, which includes public relations, analyst relations, internal communications, executive communications, security advisories, and social media.

While serving as an Army combat journalist, Dillon was also his unit's day-to-day network security manager, resulting in a unique blend of journalistic storytelling and in-depth technical acumen. Fun fact: Dillon’s first exposure to SolarWinds was a 40-hour certification course in a tent in Afghanistan! After the Army, Dillon merged his creative and technical skills into a career in corporate communications with enterprise tech and cybersecurity companies, including Trustwave, IBM Security, Armis, and building and leading the Cybersecurity Practice at the world’s largest PR firm, Edelman.
