SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor (SAM) leverages out-of-the-box monitors to monitor and manage various metrics of SMTP, IMAP, and POP3 email protocols.
These component monitors send email messages to a designated SMTP server, retrieve the messages using IMAP and POP3, and measure the round-trip time (from send to receive).
