In December 2014, Market Connection and SolarWinds conducted their second annual survey of government, military and intelligence community IT and IT security professionals to uncover their most critical IT security challenges, and to determine how to make potential security threats visible so IT can confront them. This year’s results exposed a need for internal cybersecurity threat prevention. Respondents identified careless and untrained insiders as their greatest source of cybersecurity threats – over malicious external sources such as hackers and terrorists – yet disparately reported that malicious external threat sources maintained priority for threat prevention investment. In this presentation Ed Bender will discuss the results, including the top cybersecurity threat sources, obstacles to threat prevention for careless and untrained insiders and malicious insiders and outsiders, and the necessary tools for threat prevention.
Developed by network and systems engineers who know what it takes to manage today's dynamic IT environments, SolarWinds has a deep connection to the IT community.
The result? IT management products that are effective, accessible, and easy to use.
