Learn how to use Dameware Remote Support software to manage active directory and deploy software through group policy.
Hi, my name is Craig McDonald, and I'm the Senior Product Manager for Dameware. With Dameware you now have the ability to remotely control Mac and Linux machines. Let me show you how it works.
First we'll connect to a Mac. Using the Dameware console, I'll select the machine I want to connect to. Next, I'll enter the credentials needed to connect and I'll enter them here. Now I'm ready to connect to the machine. Once connected, I have the ability to remotely control the desktop and take screenshots. When I've finished my session, I close down the connection in one click.
Now let's connect to a Linux machine. Just as before, I'll select the machine I want to connect to. Then I'll enter the credentials and I'm ready to connect. After I'm connected, I can control the desktop just like before. When I'm finished, I can again close the connection with one click.
That's it. Dameware now lets you control Windows, Mac, and Linux machines from a single console. To find out more, visit us at dameware.com.
