The solution F1-Networks had in place was not cutting it for the growing company. As Chris Lefler, F1-Networks President, explains, “it was very difficult and had an outdated interface. It was hard to pull information from it or train our staff on how to use the program. Support was unable to help us resolve basic issues.”
In addition, it was taking Lefler and his team a very long time to monitor customer assets, including basic changes in software or inventories. He knew the organization needed a new solution.
Lefler knew he wanted a SaaS solution that would give him the benefits of low cost of ownership, fast deployment, and automated upgrades as new revisions of the service are released. He chose Samanage because of its simple and effective interface. The solution also has a level of detail and collects the type of information the solution that Lefler said other products he reviewed were not able of accomplishing.
“Implementing Samanage was amazingly easy,” says Lefler.
Lefler concludes that since F1-Networks started using Samanage, there has been a 20% decrease in time spent on managing software, and MORE than a 40% decrease in the time his team spends on managing hardware inventory. In addition, tasks that were taking a long time to manually manage before, “such as easily monitoring customer assets, including changes to hardware or updates to software or computer names, became super easy,” says Lefler.
Other benefits he describes are the complete, and real-time visibility he now has into assets, warranty status, RAM quantity, and software installed across his entire network.
