SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor (SAM) allows you to monitor the availability of your RADIUS servers, measure their response time by recording each step of the user’s authentication behavior, and play back the response time of each step against a pre-determined threshold or SLA. You can run recordings from a number of locations to ensure the accuracy of the test.
The Network Policy Service manages authentication, authorization, auditing, and accounting for a virtual private network (VPN), dial-up, 802.1x wireless, or Ethernet switch connection attempt sent by access servers that are compatible with the IETF RADIUS protocol. If this service is stopped, users might be unable to obtain a VPN, dial-up, wireless, or Ethernet connection to the network. If this service is disabled, any services that explicitly depend on it will fail to start. Solarwinds Server and Application Monitor (SAM) provides the following performance metrics out of the box:
Automatic application discovery and dependency mapping.
Unified server and application monitoring across private, public, and hybrid cloud environments.
Built-in templates provide best practices.
