Powerful but buggy with room for improvement

Again, at first sight this tool looks impressive, it has a lot of built-in features to be able to just "assign" them to servers but has the ability for very complex custom scripts for the occasional special case. If everything would work right I would give this between 4 and 4,5stars. With all the suggestions (mainly usability) and planned features for the next version I would give it 5 stars if it would work 100%. Unfortunately, we have purchased this product more than 7months ago and still haven't been able to deploy this because of major known bugs (like memory leaks, 100%CPU and therefore drops of probes etc.) that are just not being told before the purchase. This product offers support for Win2008 but it doesn't work with 2008. I was told yet again to wait for the next version (which I have been told the last few times as well). I haven't given up yet, I am hoping that the next version will be without bugs that prevent us from going live soon (will probably have been 9months until then... I sure aint naming my firstborn Orion though :P )

Questionario, I'm sorry to see your experience hasn't been completely positive. We agree with your assessment that APM offers a great set of features for monitoring apps and servers. I'm not sure we agree that there are major known bugs. As with most products, there are a few issues that are impacting a few customers, and it sounds like you're one of those. APM 3.5 is already available in your customer portal, and it should fix your issues. On the Windows 2008 issue, I think you're ref

comment continued....On the Windows 2008 issue, I think you're referring to a known Microsoft bug with remote WMI on Windows 2008. We're frustrated by that problem, but any software using remote WMI has this problem. The good news is that Microsoft has remedied the problem with Windows 2008 R2. Upgrading the server should improve your experience quite a bit.
