Does Orion IPAM require Orion Network Performance Manager (NPM)?
No, Orion IPAM is now available as a stand-alone application and no longer requires an installation of Orion NPM. Orion IPAM, however, still has the ability to fully integrate with Orion NPM in order to provide a comprehensive view of network health and performance.
How is Orion IPAM licensed?
Orion IPAM is licensed based on the number of “used” (used, reserved and transient) IP addresses. For example, if your network has 20,000 IPs, but only 15,000 are “used”, then you could select the IP16000 license below. There are four license tiers to choose from to match the size of your network:
- Orion IPAM IP1000 (up to 1024 IPs or one /22)
- Orion IPAM IP4000 (up to 4096 IPs or one /20)
- Orion IPAM IP16000 (up to 16384 IPs or one /18)
- Orion IPAM IPX (Unlimited IPs)
Does Orion IPAM support IPv6?
Orion IPAM provides the ability to manually populate native IPv6 addresses in the case of dual-stacked devices, which are then available for searching and reporting. In addition, you can create IPv6 subnets and facilitate the planning of your IPv6 migration.
