Pros:

Easy to Use & Intuitive, Feature Rich, Easy to Install & Maintain, Affordable, Simplifies Network Management

Cons:

Difficult to Install

Our Cisco Works licnese had expired and we got a quote to the tune of over $15,000 to renew it. We downloaded the trial version of Orion NCM and in less than a day we knew we now had a product that finally met our requirements for a fraction of the cost. We support a network with over 300 devices and without NCM we'd be lost. It gives us the ability to quickly deploy mass changes and lets us sleep well at night knowing our configs are safely backed up.

Pros:

Easy to Use & Intuitive, Nosotros Tenemos Unos 400 Dispositivos Cisco Y Fue Facil Añadirlos Y Ver Los Estados De Configuracion Por Esta Herramienta

Cons:

Limited Support, Me Parece Que El Soporte Es Un Poco Limitado, Deberian Poner Mas Enfasis En Esto

Reviewed Version v5.0 – Released Sept 08
Full Review:

I have 400 Cisco devices and it’s true that with this tool has helped with a lot of configuration administration. The only thing is perhaps that online support is a little poor, but other than that the tool is 100% recommended.

I manage over 300 Cisco Devices with another associate. It's nice to know when things get changed and when. We tried using Cisco Works and couldn't afford the time wasted trying to get it to work correctly. Great product keep up the good work.

We have both Solarwinds NCM and CiscoWorks. NCM can deploy configurations much quicker than CiscoWorks. Where NCM can deploy a change in our network to all devices in a minute, it takes CiscoWorks 15 minutes just to get started. Also a great tool to search for things in your switches quickly. For example you can do a 'sh mac- | i ' to locate where a MAC address is currently or a 'sh run | i name-server' to determine the name servers configured and all done within minutes.
