Im user of Orion since version 7 and its awesome, I never change my Orion NPM for any other tool, because is really efficient, affordable, flexible and pretty

I am only trialing this but so far it has proved its weight in gold. It has highlighted some faults in the system and fixes are underway. Very cool.

Nothing beats the cost of Solarwinds Network performance monitor. Most open-source (Free) products are hastily created, with frequent developer splits, major architectural design changes, and a massive number of inter-product dependencies. Solarwinds NPM is a one-stop-shop for my fault management, performance metric, and inventory needs.Other closed-source enterprise solutions are extremely expensive and require dedicated staff members to maintain. Newer versions require no additional training, no additional software to install, no additional licensing, and no additional effort. Upgrades are seamless and reliable. Training efforts for new and existing staff members are minimal - the application is highly self-documented and intuitive enough to pick up and run with. Advanced features allow custom SQL reporting, custom web pages, advanced alerting, customized SNMP polling of any OID you need. Network maps allow 'at-a-glance' network health views, and include support for advanced labelling for 'at-a-glance' performance indexing as well. The Solarwinds "thwack" forum is an incredibly valuable resource for product configuration assistance for all range of tasks - from simply adding nodes to working with complex back-end SQL queries. The Solarwinds support team is quick to respond and very knowledgeable. All of these put together build a highly capable product for our heterogeneous network shop - Solarwinds does not discriminate upon vendor, allowing us to build our network profiles for any device that supports SNMP. After everything Solarwinds NPM is the best product for our shop.Thanks, Solarwinds!

Very Useful Tool for any Network Admin

Cannot Disable Or Edit Certain "Events."

Solarwinds ONP has helped me maintain our network in multiple way.* We were able to identify the memory load on our Citrix servers were completely maxed out. We ordered additional servers to ease the load for better end user experience.* I like the custom alerts. Anytime there is a serious issue a get an email to my iphone with detailed information.* We identified a bottle neck & were able to solve the problem with additional bandwidth.Software is very easy to use. All importnant information about network status and server health is on the first page after log in. I use this software everyday.

5 Years ago I was having issues with a network that was not managed correctly. Reporting statistics was a great assistance in tracking the problems down so they could be isolated and corrected. The monitoring system is solid, and has become a asset to our organization. Any network administrator that needs a tool that manage, monitor, and assist in performance evaluation will be hard pressed to find a better resource than Solarwinds Orion NPM
