- Leverage multiple discovery methods
- View three levels of network topology
- Create reports using built-in templates
LANsurveyor leverages multiple network discovery methods to provide an integrated OSI Layer 2 and Layer 3 topology map that can include:
- IP address
- MAC address
- Last logged-in user (requires Responder Clients)
- DNS name
- Node name
- Switch port connection
This multi-level discovery of network infrastructure data provides network engineers with easy access to significant time-saving features, including:
- Automated representation of network topology at 3 levels:
- Level 1 shows routers and subnets
- Level 2 adds managed switches and hubs
- Level 3 includes end nodes (which can be filtered by type or group to further refine layouts)
- Quick reports for any or all nodes
- Switch and hub port reports
- Microsoft Office Visio exports
