MS Virtual Machine is the version of virtual machine technology, comparable to the Java virtual machine, developed my Microsoft as a proprietary technology. The MS Virtual Machine had fewer capabilities than its Java counterpart. The MS Virtual Machine software was discontinued by Microsoft, with Java becoming the default virtual machine technology in its place.
