IP Conflict occurs when multiple devices on the same network are assigned the same IP address. IP Conflict occurs because an IP address is intended for use by a unique device. When an IP Conflict arises the administrator must identify which devices on the network have the same IP address, and change the IP addresses on the devices so that each is unique.
