What is Differential Incremental Backup

Differential incremental backup refers to a backup in which data objects modified since the last full backup or incremental backup are copied. A differential incremental backup requires the newest full backup and all differential backups more recent than the latest full backup to restore data. Because they only back up the data that has changed since the last backup, differential incremental backups are faster and less cumbersome than full backups, which back up all data.
