What is Automatic Failover

Automatic failover, the process of transferring the operations and applications performed by one machine to another when the first fails, makes it possible to keep critical systems available with minimal interruption. Automatic failover can occur without human intervention to speed the transfer process. Automatic failover can entail transfer between both physical and virtual machines as needed.
