What is a Command Line Interface

Command Line Interface refers to the input method common in system consoles and remote shell sessions where a GUI is unavailable or inefficient. A command line interface allows users to implement scripts that perform a series of operations that would each otherwise require manual implementation. A command line interface generally enables a set number of commands with a specific subset of parameters.
