These release notes provide additional guidance for SolarWinds Enterprise Operations Console (EOC) v1.4.1.
SolarWinds EOC v1.4.x includes the following new features and improvements:
This version of EOC adds support for the latest version of Microsoft SQL Server.
This version of EOC adds support for the latest Microsoft operating systems.
The EOC web console now has a tabbed interface similar to the interface in other Orion web consoles. The available tabs are Home, Network, and Applications & Server, and you can customize their contents from the Settings page.
The Configs view on the Network tab now includes a Global Policy Violations For Each SolarWinds Server resource that displays information from NCM compliance reports. This resource is compatible with NCM v7.1 and later.
The Custom Query resource allows you to display results from a custom SWQL query on any view in the EOC web console. Add this new resource from the Settings page.
The EOC web console now includes an IPAM view on the Network tab to support data from SolarWinds IPAM servers. This version of EOC supports IPAM version 1.7.1 and later.
The EOC web console now includes a Device Tracker view on the Network tab to support data from SolarWinds UDT servers. This version of EOC supports UDT version 2.0 and later.
The banner messages in the EOC web console now look and feel more like the banner messages in other Orion web consoles, with many new messages. These messages include warning and error messages regarding polling issues and connectivity problems. Many of these messages include hyperlinks to troubleshooting resources.
You can now view the EOC web console in Google Chrome version 20 and later.
The EOC web console now includes a Groups view on the Home tab to display resources for Orion Groups.
This version of EOC includes several enhancements to polling performance. These enhancements include extended timeout periods, rules to handle concurrent polling, and prominent notifications when EOC encounters polling issues.
