Microsoft Azure credentials

The way an organization configures Azure directly impacts your ability to work with VMs in the Orion Platform, as well as the credentials required. Check permissions in the Azure Portal or ask a subscription administrator for details.

The following Azure credentials are required to monitor VMs in the Orion Platform

Microsoft Azure sometimes uses different terms for the same credential, as outlined next:

Orion Web Console Microsoft Azure Notes
Subscription ID Subscription ID
  • Used by Microsoft to manage billing.
  • Grants access to the Azure Portal.
  • Governs access to and use of Azure services.
  • Each deployed resource is linked to only one subscription.
