Alert Variables and Examples

Orion Network Performance Monitor alert engines can use variables within the messages that are sent when an alert is triggered or reset. These variables are dynamic, and they parse when the alert is triggered or reset. For example, using the basic alert engine, the variable ${InPercentUtil} will parse with the current inbound percent utilization of the interface that is triggering the alert.

Notes:

•	In some cases, the table name may be required for alert variables, as in ${CustomPollers.Description}.

•	In previous versions of Orion Network Performance Monitor variables were referred to as macros.
