announced the availability of the latest version SolarWinds
Orion NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA), the most popular module in the
company’s flagship Orion family of products.
Designed to give network engineers a comprehensive view
of network traffic, Orion NTA analyzes
NetFlow, J-Flow, and sFlow data and performs CBQoS monitoring to
quantify exactly how the network is being used, by whom and for what purpose.

Orion NTA v3.6:
- Top Talker Optimization – Boost
flow collection performance up to 10x and reduce system resource and disk usage. Identifies which users, applications and protocols are consuming
the most network bandwidth and highlights the IP addresses of the top talkers
on the network.
- Advanced Application Mapping –Use
IP addresses or ranges in combination with ports to breakdown and define
network traffic into recognizable applications like YouTube, Facebook, Amazon,
and Salesforce.
- Customizable rate-based charts – Chart rate
(Kbps), percent interface speed, percent of total traffic, or total transferred
per time unit via stack or line charts.
- Improved
usability – View CBQoS performance views without having to enable NetFlow on
source interfaces. Find settings more easily with new NTA admin area
reorganization.
- New and improved IP address groups - Create
IP address groups that include multiple ranges and IP addresses to help analyze
how network traffic is behaving geographically.
